Lady Gemini's closet is stocked with comfy  basics as well as costumes pieces so that she is ready for any occasion.  She is not afraid to rock a trend and has a truly innovative sense of style.  This vixen of variety is better off spending less and having more.

No one embodies the spirit of Gemini more literally than Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.  The girls have sure come a long way since their days on Full House.  For years they have been red carpet chameleons inspiring many a young lady with their eclectic mix of high and low end pieces.  Last night they were given the ultimate fashion honor by receiving the CFDA Award for Womenswear Designers of the Year for their line the Row.

Lately the twins have been sporting the clean lines and solid colors reflected in the design aesthetics of the Row and Elizabeth &James.  They still retain their boho edge and always mix their basics with something edgy.  Their current collection of  jewelry has a feather motif and we so see them rocking some of our ethnic inspired jewelry pieces.

Even our black beaded maxi dress on the red carpet!

Congrats to Mary-Kate and Ashley!  We can't wait to see what they have in store for us next with their ever evolving Gemini style.

Taurus Style: Timeless Classic

This month's Taurus is the epitome of simple elegance.  The second sign of the zodiac is thoughtful and gracious, the true picture of good etiquette.  Born April 20th to May 20th,  Lady Bull always looks best in clean polished pieces.  Her best plan of attack is to pick a single solid colored piece with one striking cut or detail.  "Less is more" are truly words to live by in this House.

TAURUS SYMBOL:  The Bull
GEMSTONE:  Emerald
LOOK:  Timeless Classic
BEST COLORS:  Green, black, white
FABRICS:  Wool, jersey, leather
STYLE STAPLES:  Ballet flats, pencil skirts, turtlenecks
STEP IT UP:  Dresses with thigh high slits, cigarette pants. leather bomber
DIAL IT DOWN:  Bright colors, wild make up, denim

When "timeless classic" is mentioned, there is a 99.999% chance that an image of Audrey Hepburn comes to mind.  The iconic wearer of the LBD could likewise rock a black t-neck and pony tail like nobody's business.

Her streamlined silhouettes defined effortless chic.

Even her hair and make-up were simple but flawless.

And you just can't do a post including Audrey without at shot of  THE most recognizable LBD in fashion and cinematic history.

In March we were very eager participants in the Mad Men Event hosted by Jess James of Fashion Fix and Cape Fear Land Rover.  For the event I purchased a fab black dress with a high side slit and ruffle.  It was AWESOME.   I went to Blush Haus of Beaute' for hair and make up before the event.  I didn't tell Rachel or Steven what my dress looked like, just that we were going to a 60s event.  I must have been channeling some major Holly Golightly energy because I ended up with the perfect hair and make up for my dress.  I am just so supremely ticked that I missed by opportunity to wear a tiara in public without looking a fool!  C'est la vie.  We had a great time and I think that my look was a testament to timeless classic Audrey/Taurus style.

And to wrap it up a few Rogue Vintage Audrey inspired pieces.

And for the Taurus girl who wants people to know her sign....

Aries Style: Atypical

This month's Aries is not afraid to flaunt a low-cut top or flash a little leg. Born March 21st to April 19th, this sign is always number one.  As the zodiac's trailblazer, Aries will try any trend and is usually the person starting them. She is a fearless fashionista who lives by her own rules.  The most important thing for Lady Aries is to be original- never wanting to blend into the crowd.

ARIES SYMBOL:  The Ram
GEMSTONE:  Diamond
LOOK:  Innocent Vixen
BEST COLORS:  Red and gold
FABRICS:  Cotton
STYLE STAPLES:  A strong detail (like a bow on the shoulder), chandelier earrings, vintage status bags, tiny dresses that show off those legs
STEP IT UP:  Wild hats, sequins, sexy twists on little-girl looks, unexpected accents
DIAL IT DOWN:  Anything too conservative or matchy-matchy, dull colors, plaids

We cannot think of a better representation of Aries than the ever phenomenal Sarah Jessica Parker.  Her role as Carrie Bradshaw on Sex And The City changed the face of fashion forever.  When searching for images for this post we took a stroll down memory lane and relived some of Carrie's top trends.  Damn, we miss that show!

Speaking of a sexy twist on a little-girl look- tutu anyone?

Carrie always knew how to rock a strong detail.  We love her signature flower and how it just got bigger and bigger culminating in the gigantic white flower dress by Patricia Field in Sex And The City-The Movie.

And the jewelry- where do we start!?!  From the vintage costume necklace layered with pearls to the horseshoe to the nameplate.....we love and STILL have them all.

Her trailblazing didn't just extend into the apparel and accessories frontier.  The top bun that EVERYONE has been yapping about all season was rocked by SJP years ago.

Enough of our forever style crush.  Here are a few Carrie, we mean Aries, inspired pieces.

Pisces Style

This month's Pisces is compassionate, imaginative and magnetic.  Born February 20th to March 20th she floats through the world wearing rose colored glasses.  Symbolized by two fish swimming in opposite directions, Lady Pisces often struggles to make decisions or commit.  Just as the fish, you never know what direction Pisces style will take.  Ruled by Neptune, god of the sea, this water sign often favors jewelry made of pearls, seashells, or coral.  Fluid gowns with timeless appeal keep true to Pisces' dreamy romantic nature.

PISCES SYMBOL:  The Fish (two, swimming in opposite directions)
GEMSTONE:  Aquamarine
LOOK:  Enchanted Angel
BEST COLORS:  Sea green, lilac, aqua- PASTELS!
FABRICS:  Silk and satin
STYLE STAPLES:  Blouses with ruffles or flutter sleeves, cashmere sweaters
STEP IT UP:  Dramatic draping, caftans, nautical inspired looks
DIAL IT DOWN:  Turtlenecks, fleeces, overly structured pieces

There is no greater testament to the compassionate and romantic spirit of Pisces than the late, great, legendary Elizabeth Taylor.

There are just too many gorgeous photos of her to pick a mere three.  For more, take a peek at this compilation from BuzzFeed .

In the early 90's Taylor developed various lines of costume jewelry inspired by her films as well as by pieces from her own collection.  We love this Pisces themed demi-parure.  No doubt a nod to her zodiac.

This vintage wiggle dress is swimming in Pisces worthy pastels.

For more Pisces style, visit Rogue Vintage and browse our Nautical Trend .  We even have great summer caftans  that would get the approval of Liz herself!

Aquarius Style: Amiable

This month's Aquarius is the zodiac sign of friendship and humanity.  Born January 21st to February 19th, she is your BFF, the girl next door, and a huge hit on Facebook! An animal lover and defender of the underdog Aquarius is forever interested in making the world a better place.  The most forward thinking of the zodiacs, she can rock an ultra modern style with a bend toward the futuristic.  Never one for extravagance, Aquarius likes one-of-a-kind items and often shops for clothes at vintage shops and flea markets.

AQUARIUS SYMBOL:  The Water Bearer
GEMSTONE:  Amethyst
LOOK:  Bohemian BFF
BEST COLORS:  Light blue, violet, emerald green, and black
FABRIC:  Denim
STYLE STAPLES:  Denim jackets, halter dresses, bohemian maxi dresses, t shirts, cargo pants
STEP IT UP:  Geometric jewelry, asymmetrical cuts, mod looks, latest denim trend, Grecian goddess dresses
DIAL IT DOWN:  Punk styles, fur, poufy skirts, anything tested on animals

With Aquarius being the zodiac's humanitarian, she loves a company with a cause.  Not only is our green emerald maxi dress the right shade, it has been given a new life through eco-friendly fashion recycling.  Literally, a GREEN dress to envy.

Lady Aquarius is not afraid to make a statement with her hairstyle, taking cue from famous hair icon and fellow Aquarian Jennifer Aniston, born February 11th.  *Photos courtesy of Elle Magazine

Keep those gorgeous tresses sleek and sophisticated by styling with a colorful zodiac scarf.

Most closely associated with its figural depiction of water, Aquarius favors shades of green and blue.  Try a pop of color on your nails with shades from Essie and Dior.  Oh, and did we mention that the limited edition Dior smells like roses when it dries?  Yep, we bought it. Didn't hesitate!

Nothing says Aquarius like water so we will leave you with a picture from Wrightsville Beach last week.  Sunny and 70- not a bad way to end January!

What can we say?  Life in Wilmington is rough!

Till Next Time,
Tricia and Jennings

Capricorn Style: Classic

So if anyone has even glanced at our website, you would have to be blind to not notice that we have a certain affinity for Zodiac signs.  More like an obsession, really.  The zodiac signs themselves are so beautiful but we also find the principles behind astrology to be fascinating.  Each month, we will feature the zodiac for that given period and a little style profile for how that particular sign is inclined to dress.  In addition, we will highlight a few pieces from the Rogue Vintage collection as astrological inspiration.

One reading and you will be hooked- we swear!  Tricia, being the "dark one" was sucked in immediately after reading that she likes to dress to intimidate and has a closet full of...GASP....sequined tops!  How true!  Jennings, being the "youthful and carefree" counterpart to the Rogue Vintage duo truly does prefer casual comfortable clothing in bright colors and family mementos to flashy rocks.  But more on the RV Scorpio and Sagittarius later this year....

For this month (yes, we are on the tail end of this sun sign but better late than never!) we are featuring lady Capricorn.  Born December 22nd to January 20th, this reliable woman is ruled by responsibility and hard work.  Less is usually more for this minimalist sign.  Clothing is an investment for her so she focuses on the American classics and not the latest fads.  She will stun in quality pieces that stand the test of time.

CAPRICORN SYMBOL:  The Goat
GEMSTONE:  Garnet
LOOK:  Timeless Classic
BEST COLORS:  Black, forest green, gray, earthy browns
FABRICS:  Wool, cashmere, flannel
STYLE STAPLES:  Traditional patterns like plaids and checks, well tailored suits, and chunky sweaters
STEP IT UP:  Menswear inspired looks (think button downs, tuxedo shirts, ties), wellies, luxury men's watches, riding boots and equestrian looks
DIAL IT DOWN:  Bright colors, loud patterns, ruffles, fake gems, animal prints, anything CHEAP

Our fave lady Cappie of the moment is the always classic Kate Middleton.  Here are a few of her signature looks and similar pieces from the Rogue Vintage collection.  To see the pieces for sizing, etc. visit http://www.roguevintage.com/ or click the direct links highlighted in red.

Hope you have enjoyed our very first, very tortured blog post.  Our New Year's resolution was to get the blog up and running and we are only two weeks "fashionably" late.  We promise bigger, better, and more timely things to come for 2012!

Till Next Time,
Tricia and Jennings
